PILATES… BUT STRONGER
What Is Hone?
Hone is a small studio in Valla Beach blending Pilates-based movement with progressive strength training.
Our classes combine the precision, control and flow of Pilates with strength training to build strength, improve mobility and support bone density. Using a variety of weights, each class flows smoothly from movement to movement — strong without being clunky, challenging without being overwhelming.
Hone is a place to move better, build strength, and Hone in on your fitness in a way that feels sustainable and enjoyable.
What Does Hone Offer?
Hone Signature & Gentle Classes
50-minute strength-based Pilates classes

Whether you’re new to training or ready to lift a little heavier. Expect a focused but enjoyable class that leaves you feeling strong, capable, and energised.
Hone Gentle is a slower-paced, strength-based Pilates class designed for beginners, those returning to movement, or anyone wanting a more supported approach. Your Questions, Answered
-
Classes are Pilates-based, using a variety of weights to build strength while maintaining the creativity, control and flow of a Pilates class. Sessions are thoughtfully programmed to work the whole body and feel fluid rather than stop-start.
Classes run for 50 minutes and include a warm-up at the beginning and a stretch at the end.
-

What happens if I don’t show up to a class?
If you are on a recurring $60 per week membership, no-shows will incur a $20 charge. This helps ensure fairness for all clients, as class numbers are limited. -
Absolutely. Our small class sizes mean you’ll receive plenty of individual attention. All exercises can be modified, and options are always offered to suit different experience levels and bodies.

How do I join a Hone at Home Live Zoom class?
Simply book into a specific Hone at Home Live Zoom class on the schedule. Once you’re booked in, your Zoom link and meeting code will be sent to you. At class time, log in to your Zoom account, click Join Meeting, enter the code, and you’ll be taken straight into class. How much do Live Zoom classes cost?
Single class: $20
10 Class Pack: $150
What equipment do I need?
You’ll need a set of dumbbells. One light set is absolutely fine to start with. For heavier exercises, you can always hold both weights in one hand if needed. If you’d like more variety, I recommend having:1 x light set
1 x medium to heavy set
Affordable options can be found at Kmart, Target, or Rebel.
What if I don’t have sliders, balls, or resistance bands?
No problem at all. If we use any optional equipment during class and you don’t have it at home, I’ll always give you a similar exercise option that doesn’t require equipment.I’m travelling and don’t have weights — can I still join class?
Absolutely. You can still join using body weight only, or pack a resistance band if you have one. I’ll always offer options so you can still get a great workout wherever you are.
About Carragh
Hi, I’m Carragh, founder and instructor at Hone Studio.
I’ve been working in the fitness industry for over 10 years, starting my career at a barre studio in Sydney. That experience shaped my core teaching style — movement that flows, is guided by music, and feels purposeful and fun.
From there, I completed my Certificate III & IV in Fitness, followed by my Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates teacher training. I’ve worked across a variety of studios, learning from different approaches and refining my own style of teaching along the way. Those years gave me not just experience, but a clear understanding of how I want classes to feel — strong, effective, and enjoyable.
My classes are often described as challenging — and I take that as a compliment. I believe that doing hard things is how we grow, both physically and mentally. That said, I’m always focused on creating a positive, supportive environment where you feel encouraged, capable, and confident in your body.
Starting my own studio is the culmination of everything I’ve learned over the past decade. Hone Studio is my way of bringing together precision, flow, strength and thoughtful programming — and I hope it becomes a place where you feel inspired to keep showing up, week after week.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.
